The author was inspired to write ‘Poor Poppy and the Chocolate Man’ to help bring to the attention of all parents the realization that their children can become victims of a pedophile. At the same time she wishes to give the reader an insight into behind the scenes of the unknowing families, the law enforcement’s detectives’ efforts to help stamp out these ever increasing everyday heinous acts of behavior and the recognition for the introduction of harsher sentences.

The author also wishes to state that whilst the Australian Government has apologised to the stolen generation it is her heartfelt wish that through the pages of ‘Poor Poppy and the Chocolate Man’ a sincere apology will reach all of the children who have become victims of a pedophile.

Just a woman and a man

In years to come I will try to understand
why we were just a woman and a man
then I'll recall to-day and the sweetness it planned
and be pleased to remember
why we were just a woman and a man.

And that is why I sometimes cry

The special things you do for me fill me deep inside

They are the Heaven I thought I'd missed

And that is why I sometimes cry.

Ah Sweet Love

Take me as you want to, want me as I want you

Need me as I need you, please love me.

Move me to the outer realms of love dear

Touch me, gentle, feel me sway

Bring me to your peak dear, hush no need to speak dear

Ah sweet love you've brought me all the way.

Another Time

Should I step into another time would I still feel the same?

Would happiness surround me? Would love remain unchanged?

I know I'd want to see the sun, the stars and moonlight too

But most of all I'd want to feel the joy of loving you.

Dream

My dream is just a dream enfolding two and all

the pleasures that I've known when I’m alone with you

I store them in my mind one by one and as I do

I remember how my happiness began.

Then I awake and I find you beside me

You take me in your arms and come inside me

There isn't anything to say words like I love you

Just get in the way but I say it and you say it

And we both know what our love means

You touch me and I touch you

And we both feel what our love means

And in my ecstasy you hear me cry

Oh God please don't let this love die.

A Love Note

I have tasted your kisses and I know I want more

I have held you in my arms and felt you go through me

For this my love I want to give all

But when I do and you still feel you don't really love me

Then please let me walk away, if I can, let me walk away.

The Sounds of the Night

As I listen to the sounds of the night and its ever busy freeways

I lie in my bed and my mind travels to the right-of-way that leads to

Memories of those happy and carefree days when we were together

In Love, Oh yes forever, we were heard to say –

As I listen to the sounds of the night and its ever busy highways

And overhead I hear the planes take-off into the sky ways

My mind takes a trip along now empty by-ways that we took together

In Love, Oh yes forever, we were heard to say –

As I listen to the sounds of the night and its ever busy main ways

I recall how we were suddenly taking separate lane ways

And as I watched you go I knew I’d find no through ways

It was one way forever – Love was gone I heard you say –

Oh the Night and Its Sounds they are constantly there to

remind me of the love we once knew –

As I lie awake and listen I know my heart is missing

the sounds that are especially you –

And as I lie awake and listen I know my heart is wishing

that you are hearing them too –
